Within the current wave of activism, is the reminder that black women have been on the front lines demanding equal treatment based on gender and income for a long time. We have also been on the front lines without, behind, next to, and ahead of men fighting inequalities created by racial bias and discrimination.
Through it all though we have reigned. Black women are now the most educated group in the United States as well as the fastest group of entrepreneurs in the country. We are business owners, executives in Fortune 500 companies, educators, scientists, judges, first responders, mothers, doctors, and politicians to name a few! We are holding it down in our personal and professional lives.
Powerful Women Reign is for all the black women out there who are seeking a place to be heard, regroup, plan, and feel a bond of sisterhood. It was created to celebrate and support the strides we have made as black women.
