It is not a good thing to be in debt. It feels like being tied down or like carrying a huge load. With each credit purchase, you make, the load gets heavier. You can, however, choose to put down the heavy burden from off your shoulders and live like a free man. You can do it this year if you so wish.
No matter how much you owe, your debts can be settled. You only need a smart plan for resolving them. The best way is to channel all your earnings into paying your debts. You may need to add in a few extra hours. Well, I think it's worth the while; a few extra hours for a lifetime free of debts. Once your debts are paid, you have all your money to yourself to do as you please.
Here are some tips for being debt-free this year:
Get a part-time paid job
If you can get a job for a few extra hours, and it pays well, go for it. Let's say you get a job that requires just 4 hours of your time every day, and the pay is $15 per hour, at the end of the month, you'll have about $1,200. Sure you'll have to pay tax. This will leave you with about $1,080 every month. Do the math. At the end of each year, you'll have up to $21,600 extra cash to pay down your debts. Imagine how far that will go in becoming debt-free.
Let’s say your spouse is willing to do the same with you. He or she gets a part-time paying job and made the same amount from it as you do. At the end of the year, you’ll have about $43,200 extra cash dedicated to settling your debts.
The extra money will definitely change your lives, and you’ll be able to settle all your debts in one year. You’ll do well to keep the job after your debts have been paid. Think of how much you can save to meet future expenses with that amount. You’ll probably not need to borrow money any longer in the future.
Make money out of what you love to do
There is that one thing you love to do and can do well. Everybody has one. It is called your hobby. Instead of doing it just for the fun of it, you can make money out of it. There are many things you can do provided you love to do them. You can sell what you grow in your garden, knit items and put them up for sale, offer writing services, sell sporting equipment, repair used furniture and put them up for sale, etc. The list goes on and on. One big advantage is you love what you do, and you have fun doing it. You'll see it worthwhile dedicating all the extra time.
There’s also blogging, photography, graphic design, video creation and editing, auto mechanics, fitness coach, music coaching, web design, comedy, proofreading and editing, pet grooming, baking, etc. Making money from the listed hobbies is effortless.
You can be financially free; all you need is a smart plan.
